Complete testicular feminisation, the most common form of male pseudohermaphroditism, is a common cause of primary amenorrhoea. The features are characteristic: the development of the breasts after puberty, the general habitus, and the distribution of body fat are female in character so that most subjects have a feminine appearance (Fig. 11.29).
